They’ve had their shop for the past 10 years and have been residents of St. Lazare for the past 30.

Their shop is located on ch. Ste-Angelique in the town of Saint-Lazare. It is a converted house. There are a large assortments of saddles on the porch.
Their store is packed with all sorts of wonderful horse things.
Lots of blankets, turnout sheets, saddles, breeches, boots for people, boots for horses, bandages, lots of lotions saddle soaps, leather cleaners, and horse beauty products. There are too many things to mention, but oh, so much fun to browse through.

The Resident Guard Cat! Pretty scary if you ask me!
There is a section devoted to shoes and boots. (Lin’s family has always had a shoe stores). “We specialize in mucking boots!” Laughs Lin. Saint-Lazare and mucking boots go hand in hand! There is lots of western gear and some English entry level gear. They also carry good quality new Western saddles at reasonable prices. Sometimes they also have quality used English and western saddles. As a matter of fact, I bought my Australian used saddle here. And it is fabulous. “If you want a business that makes a lot of money – Don’t go into Tack” says Lin. “Because now-a-days most people have cars and not horses. You have to keep a million little things in the shop. The turnover wouldn’t be acceptable to most business people because you have to carry so many items for a modest amount of sales." "You have to love this business because you can make a lot more money doing something else.”“It’s the first time in my life that I’ve ever done something I love. I used to work in an office. I was in a very stress related job for 25 years. Now I live close by, I’m my own boss and I’m doing something I love! I open from 11:00 AM From Wednesday through Sunday. In the mornings before I come into work, I do saddle fittings.” Saint-Lazare is a great place for a tack shop”, continues Linne.“There are 5,000 horses." At one time there were more horses than people in Saint-lazare. About 30 years ago there were 2,500 horses and 2000 people. Now there are about 15,000 people.
"But it is still a very horse friendly place. There are more stables built every year. As the town grows with new residential projects the developers must donate 10 % of the land to horse trails”.
Tips From Lin
Here are some tips from Lin on favorite horse stuff and best sellers Best Horse Treat: "Martin Horse Treats". They are not perishable
Toys: "Jolly Ball" is the best – there are some cheap copies on the market but they break.
Stall Snacks: "Likit". It is a good long lasting treat.
The Apple hang up Stall toy is popular. It never loses its apple smell
But in the end it depends on the horse. His personality will determine which he prefers.
